100 haircuts for Spain

 

AFTER CONFERENCES LAST WEEK I FELT IN MY HEART THE NEED TO HELP RAISE FUNDS FOR THE CHURCH IN SPAIN,

AT THE MOMENT THEY BORROW WATER FROM NEIGHBORS AS WELL AS ELECTRICITY.
THEY NEED 900 EUROS TO BE ABLE TO GET THE PERMIT APPROVAL TO INSTALL ELECTRICITY AND WATER

...900 EUROS = $1400

EARLIER THIS YEAR I WAS ABLE TO SPEND TIME WITH THE ENCOUNTER CHURCH IN SEVILLE SPAIN WITH AL LOPEZ, HIS FAMILY AND HIS TEAM OF YOUNG PEOPLE EXCITED TO MAKE A CHANGE IN SEVILLE, IN FEBUARY THEY WERE LOCKED OUT OF THEIR BUILDING AND FORCED TO FIND A NEW LOCATION. DUE TO NEIGHBORS THAT DID NOT AGREE WITH WHAT ECOUNTER WAS DOING IN THEIR COMMUNITY.
THEY PUT THEIR FAITH IN GOD TO PROVIDE AND THEY FOUND A NEW BUILDING THOUGH CONSTRUCTION IS TOUGH ON THE POCKET THEY CONTINUE TO HAVE SERVICES THERE AND FIX THE BUILDING LITTLE BY LITTLE

MY GOAL BY THE END OF NOVEMBER IS TO RAISE THIS MONEY, BUT I CAN'T DO IT ALONE

Prom!

I remember my senior prom, it was the start of my friendship with Husband. almost 10 years ago.Who would have known years down the road I would marry the nerdy little kid that asked me to prom. BTW prom pictures never do any justice, It's impossible not to fake smile while some weird man tells you to smile after he puts you  in some weird, akward maternity poses. Check out my horrid picture with Husband back in 2002. 

As a hairstylist I have done years of proms for young girls, Hair, Makeup, picking out dresses.  It has all been a thrill it makes me reflect on my very own prom, I remember the morning of prom I had a group of friends come over to get their hair and makeup done, Yes, way before I got a liscense I already did hair and make up from home, Ive gotten soooo much better and praise the Lord for the that. I look back though at pictures of friends for those days and they look pretty good and up to date. Sad to say as far as me looking how I wanted for my own prom didn't happen. Hence the slicked down hair in the picture above. The plus about that day is that I designed my own dress and years later I married my prom date. Now adays  I get to make girls feel pretty and do for them what I didnt have someone do for me on my senior prom. Even if admit it,  prom is not what you expect. I didnt even know what to expect, I found myself on my way to my senior prom expecting something spectacular,  It defenitly was not like in the movies! Prom was pretty much about ( I say for girls) looking at the pretty and not so pretty dresses girls were wearing, and making sure u were not caught wearing the same dress as someone else.

 2 weeks ago I received a last minute phone call from a desperate mother about her daughter going to her junior prom. I had the honor of being part of this girl's life 2 years ago for her sweet 15. I responded to the call and was able to meet with her at her house in Riverside and did her hair and make up. She looked beautiful! Her dress was adorable! Her family and her are such sweethearts!  

This past weekend was my alma mater,Rialto High School's prom. I got to do a young girl I watched grow up as well as her Aunt's being from the group of friends I would doll up for their proms! Her dress as well as the girl from above were very similar as well as adorable!

Goodbye Brother

Last Wednesday my Husband and I hung out with his youngest brother, Spunky, a Dog brother in law and husband got when he was just a small puppy about 15 years ago. I don't know how old that makes him in Doggie years but I suppose its old! I think it's silly how they speak of this dog as their sibling. I hear this often with other people and their pets. The in laws call Spunky their child as well and its sweet!
I met Spunky 10 years ago when Husband and I were in High School and I got to come over and meet the family. One scary dog might I say, Huge! The in laws had a sign on the fence that read BEWARE OF DOG. I say the sign was not big enough! Neither was the fence. Spunky is HUGE! I felt like one of those kids in the sandlot fearing Hercules would jump over the fence and tear me to pieces! Eventually though our destiny was for us to become friends and family.
Years passed and as I, Spunky got older. 2 years ago Brother in law brought him a little brother to play with and spunky did not like the idea. Little brother wanted to play and jump on Spunky but Spunky was not having it. Spunky was too old. Spunky seemed grumpy and never wanted to play with his brother so he would bark at him. We noticed though that Spunky had a hard time walking and he just look so tired and in pain. Father in law took him to the doctors and they broke the news to him, Not so good news. We found out that day when father in law came home that Spunky had cancer. Such horrible news to receive, Doctor said that sadly spunky was too old and cancer was advanced that there was nothing for us to do but to let spunky go and live his last days. I stared at father in law's face as he told us this, there was pain and sadness, we had no idea how to tell the boys the news of their dog, their brother, since they were both at work. I hated knowing first, I let father and Mother in law break the news to their kids.
That day, the doctor prescribed pain medicine to help Spunky move around and ease the pain. It made him feel good he was walking and eating again and it made us all happy we ignored the fact they told us Spunky has cancer.
Last night when we came home from church Father in law told us to go and say good bye to our brother. We noticed earlier in the week Spunky laying down and not moving at all. He looked so sad it broke my heart, medicine was useless now. We realized the last days were here and Spunky didn't look so good. We noticed Spunky's stomach was swollen, belly looked like he would be pregnant impossible I might add. He now lays there in a lot of pain, not moving at all. Brother in law called Doggie doctor and set an appointment. Spunky will be put to rest today. No more pain and suffering for his sick and aching body. Brother in law will take the trip today, I think ill come along.

I shot these pictures last wednesday. They make perfect memories for husband and I.

I will be shedding a tear today.

Hobbies

Besides the fun of doing Hair and Makeup

I have a lot of hobbies, from writting, playing guitar, painting to coloring,

 even sewing clothes and making hair acessories...

 I always find myself adding more and more each day.

 My husband recently Bought me a camera! a NikonD3000,

 its a great beginners Camera, I love learning new things on it,

I did a photoshoot for fun with my friends!

While I was in Spain in January, I found love for a new instrument to add to my musical ability!

I am a fun creative young soul, Who's heart is always on a mission. Always planning sumthing new with this hyper mind of mine...I am a silly girl trying to make it in this big world.
Ive been a licensed hairstylist for a little over 7 years now, but have been practicing it since I was 4 when I completly chopped off my hair with a pair of my moms fabric scissors LOL...Since then I have discovered that I have a HUGE passion for hair and makeup, and everything that has to do in the beauty world of fashion.
Just turned 27... A few years closer to 30, I hear 30 is the new 21, IM LOOKING FOWARD TO IT.

 I recently quit my job at a salon and since then been trying to find my self as an artist, working from home and around the area. I continue doing hair for a few of my friends and family. Putting myself out there for special occasions. It being my focus point at this very moment, the fun parts of my career.
